"Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing — absolutely nothing — half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats. Simply messing... about in boats"
- Rat (The Wind In The Willows)
What: A kayak & canoe sharing / test driving event
When: Sunday, 03/17/19, from 8:00am till Noonish
Where: Lake Mills Park, 1301 Tropical Ave. Chuluota
Why? Because, kayaks! That's why!
Have you ever thought about buying a kayak, but you were unsure which one to get? Or, maybe you are looking to upgrade, and you'd like to see what's out there? Or, you just like messing about in boats? Or, you simply enjoy schmoozing? Well, today is your day! I will be bringing several varieties of kayaks, canoes and hybrids, to Lake Mills Park this morning, along with all the gear you will need to properly test them. I hope to convince others, to bring their various boats, so we'll have an even bigger variety for you to try.
We will be at the beach, at the park, from around 8:00am till around Noon. You can stay the whole time, or, just pop over and say "Howdy!". It's all good. Lake Mills is a clean, alligator free lake, suitable for swimming, so feel free to get wet, if you want. Kayaking is generally a pretty damp hobby, so a change of clothes is probably a good idea.
Hope to see you there!
