This cache has been archived.

MCG1975: Out for a walk so came past to remove the cache. Found the log and cap on the ground so it had been muggled anyway.

NORTH WYMONDHAM COMMUNITY CENTRE

Moves to create a community centre in this part of Wymondham began in the early 1970's when the North Wymondham Community Association was formed from a previous resident's group. Originally opening with a wooden hall in 1979, within a couple of years plans were being laid to replace with a more permanent structure.

Thanks to a Government programme for long term unemployed and a prisoner rehabilitation scheme the works began in late 1984 and the hall was completed and opened in March 1985 by John MacGregor MP.

The hall plays host to a number of regular events and groups as well as being available for hire, including being the local polling station!

Parking is available in the car-park between the hall and the adjacent shops. Be advised the area gets very busy at school run times and you'll probably struggle to park, not to mention that GZ will be swarming with muggles so I suggest you avoid these times unless you possess an invisibility cloak. Please ensure the cache is replaced exactly where found so it doesn't get spotted and muggled.

Please note the cache container is slightly experimental, being a variation on a previous design I adopted from GCZ Team (used with permission!). If it shows signs of coming apart please let me know via logs or messages and I'll pop over and sort it out.

+++ Congratulations to Wymondham Wanderers on the FTF! +++
