Geocache Description:


The posted coordinates place you directly in front of Glasgow Science Centre; home to dozens of interactive Physics exhibits.

Somewhere nearby, a cache is hidden - but you will need to answer some Physics questions in order to find it! All of the questions are based on the Scottish National 5 Physics curriculum (equivalent to the GCSE Physics curriculum in the rest of the UK) so should be answerable by anyone who has studied the subject up to (or beyond) age 16, though you might need to do a little bit of revision and/or additional research first.

Dynamics

A 15kg object is acted on by three forces: 3 N North, 6 N East, 2 N West. The magnitude of the resultant force, measured in newtons, is A.

Space

A star is 1.20719 x 1017m from the Earth. Calculate it's exact distance in light years, then round this figure to the nearest whole number. This number is BC.
