Last week (on 13 February 2019), NASA tried one last time to contact Opportunity on Mars. But it didn't reply. It had landed on Mars on 25 January 2004 for a 90-sol mission. Its last contact with NASA was on 10 June 2018. In its 14 years roving on Mars, it traveled 28.06 miles. Thank you for the adventure, Opportunity. You were a good rover. We can read more at its Wikipedia page which has a lot of cool information.
xkcd comics about Opportunity: Opportunity Rover | Opportunity | Spirit
I was walking (roving?) along the Northwest Lancaster County River Trail and took the opportunity to place a container for your searching enjoyment.
Congratulations to GableGang on the FTF - both partners.
