Geocache Description:

There's an old abandoned truck here that's a 20 to 25 minute winter / 15 - 20 minute summer hike from the parking lot. Perfect for a little exercise. Nice wide trail and accessible in the winter. Access via Briggs Bridge greenbelt access parking lot/ trail head off the E Eagle River Loop Road. Exit the Glenn in Eagle River at the Hiland Exit, go east, and the turn will be to your right as the road begins to turn north. Look for the "Right lane must turn right" signs. If you go over the bridge you've missed the turn. Note that Eagle River Loop Rd is a divided road and you can only access the turn when using the directions given. Restrooms and parking available. BEWARE of break-ins happening year around at the trail heads. Leave nothing valuable in the vehicle. And as always, be aware of the bears, moose, etc. They like to use this trail as well. State park fee or yearly parking pass required for parking. Picnic tables available. ***GATES CLOSE AT 10:00 PM*** Cache placed under GeocacheAlaska! Park Use Permit #15-KA-1994.
