Lake Ōkareka is 15 minutes drive from Rotorua. Ōkareka is popular year round, with beaches accessible by car and boat. Activities include barbeques, swimming, water skiing, kayaking. And there are also a number of lakeside and bush walks around the Lake. The cache ive placed is on one of these walks which happen to connect boyes beach and a pinic area just off steep street. There are more caches located further on down the track heading to the doc camps. the cache is a small bison tube green in colour. only has a log in it. bring your own pen/cil. parking avalible on right near by the cache. keep an eye on ssmall kids as water is around. no need to stry off the track to get this cache . please replace the cache as found.
