S’AVANZAMENTU
Questo cache ti porta dentro le affascinanti pareti granitiche della zona chiamata S’Avanzamentu, sede di una vecchia carrabile ormai completamente devastata dalle piene. Si raggiunge partendo a piedi dalla stazione dell’Ente Foreste dell’Oasi Naturale di Pixinamanna, dove è possibile lasciare l’auto.
Si segue un sentiero sterrato con qualche tratto impervio ma mai inaccessibile, a seconda della stagione si potrebbe dover guadare dei ruscelli.
A circa 1,5 km dalla suddetta stazione il sentiero si divide in una biforcazone, a sinistra c’è un segnale che indica S’Avanzamentu; a questo punto il sentiero diventa poco definito ma pur sempre percettibile, costeggerà un torrente di acque cristalline dalla portata irregolare fino alla meta: una vista mozzafiato all’interno di un canyon di scoscese pareti granitiche dalle forme suggestive, immersi nella fragranza delle piante tipiche della macchia mediterranea (lentischio, olivastro, lavanda, rosmarino, cisto, oleandro, corbezzolo, mirto). Se si ha la fortuna di visitare il sito nel periodo delle piogge si può rimanere incantati dalla presenza di rumorose cascatelle e invitanti piscine naturali.
S'AVANZAMENTU
This cache takes you inside the fascinating granite walls of the area called S'Avanzamentu, home to an old driveway now completely devastated by floods. It can be reached on foot from the Ente Foreste station of the Natural Oasis of Pixinamanna, where you can leave your car.
You follow a dirt path with some impassable stretch but never inaccessible, depending on the season you may have to wade the streams.
At about 1.5 km from the aforementioned station, the path divides into a bifurcazone, on the left there is a sign indicating S'Avanzamentu; at this point the path becomes undefined but still perceptible, it will coast a torrent of crystalline waters from irregular flow up to the destination: a breathtaking view inside a canyon of steep granite walls with evocative forms, immersed in the fragrance of typical plants of the Mediterranean maquis (lentischio, olivastro, lavender, rosemary, cistus, oleander, strawberry tree, myrtle). If you are lucky enough to visit the site during the rainy season you can be enchanted by the presence of noisy waterfalls and inviting natural pools.
