In het voormalige Daalgrimby (thans Opgrimbie) vond in 1903 de 49 ste proefboring plaats, die “letterlijk” een verrassing naar boven bracht.
Als blijvende herinnering aan deze unieke gebeurtenis werd in 2008 door de lokale heemkundige kring ’t Oude Grimbiaca een replica van de originele boortoren uit 1903 opgericht te Daalgrimby op de Kikheide.

In the former Daalgrimby (now Opgrimbie) the 49th trial drilling took place in the year 1903, which "literally" brought a surprise to the surface.
As a lasting reminder on this unique event, the local community of ancient history ' t Oude Grimbiaca established in the year 2008, a replica of the original derrick from 1903 at the location Daalgrimby on the Kikheide.
