After having attended over 160 events, and only ever having hosted 1, I’ve decided it must be about time to host another one!

And what better opportunity than a Creation Celebration event! Similar events will be hosted and attended by geocachers all over the world! From 25 March to 14 April 2019, geocachers around the world will join to celebrate geocache creations that inspire the next generation of geocache makers!

Geocaching would simply not exist without the people who channel their creativity and innovative spirit into making great experiences for others.

The idea of this event, is to discuss all things “making great geocaches” – you’ve seen them – everything from the ubiquitous mint tin, to amazing creations! Indeed, some of the caches I’ve found around here would have taken days, or even weeks to make!

Of course “making” a cache is not always just about the container! Certainly that is a rather important part, but making the cache experience into an adventure involves plenty of other aspects – including everything from making a puzzle, to finding just the right location, or maybe making that awesome multi!

We’ll discuss what makes a great cache! And maybe what makes a not so great cache! If anyone is working on any awesome ideas, and wants to share – you're welcome to do so! Of course – this is totally optional – cache hiders often like to surprise their finders once they get to GZ! Maybe you would like to test run some of those gadget caches you are planning for Clear Waters event .

There are BBQs here! So you can BYO snags, drinks and nibblies! I’ll also endevour to provide some snags bread and sauce!

As an added bonus - anyone who logs an “Attended” at a registered Creation Celebration event will earn a special souvenir! (Which will appear on your profile after you log your attendance.)
