- Perhe muuttaa Jyväskylään 1903, kun Alvar on 5-vuotias.
- 1924 Alvar mennee naimisiin Aino Marsion ( k. 1949) kanssa. Heille syntyy tytär Johanna 1925 ja poika Hamilkar 1928.
- Menee naimisiin Elissa Mäkiniemen kanssa 1952.
- A. Aalto kuolee 11.5.1976 Helsingissä.
