This geocache is placed in thanksgiving for the life of an arborist (tree surgeon) named Lincoln Colwell, from Sparkill NY.
"He was happiest high up in the trees.” He was also a member of the Piermont Rowing Club and sang bass with the Rockland Camerata and St. Stephen’s Choir, where he always wore a bow tie on Christmas Eve and Easter Day.
Lincoln was a wonderful man, an avid reader with a curious questioning mind and a mentor to many, never expecting recognition.. He was loved by all who came in contact with him. You always knew he was around when you smelled cigar smoke!!
Sadly, Lincoln died after falling out of a tree in March of 2016. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
This cache is placed with the permission of the Rector and Wardens in an area where he did extensive work at his church after Super Storm Sandy.
Please do not trespass on nearby residential areas.
Peak muggle times are school days around 9 and noon, and Sunday mornings. Please search only during daylight hours.
