This trailhead is dedicated in memory of Art Cowsen, who passed away in April 2008. From an overhead view, the parking lot is shaped like a bicycle to honor Art's love of cycling. Art was the backbone of the Fort Worth Bicycling Association, and its members often reflect on how he would be eager to contribute to the group in any way possible. Art served in just about all of the board positions, most notably as President of the club over multiple terms. He also served as Vice President in the same fashion. Art originated many of the association’s famous cycling events.
This geocache is a part of the TRWD Trinity Trails Geocaching Adventure which takes you on a journey throughout the entire trail system to discover hidden gems, historically significant locations and some of the most popular spots along the trails.
