50 years ago the Golden Triangle area was a Mulberry orchard.
Although all the trees are gone the original mother tree used for cuttings and bud wood survives.
In 2008 the mother tree almost died from water restrictions from the drought.
A savage prune by the new owner saved this now 150+ year old tree.
Many years later and the tree is back to her best.
While not at this park, it is in a nearby street.
