The fantastic trustees have allowed me to host a geocaching event at the makerspace
What?
An event to highlight cache quality and assist with cache creation.
Hands-on help will be available on a wide variety of technical topics such as the guidelines for hiding caches, using html to format cache listings, creating a Augemented Reality geocaches using Metaverse, setting up Puzzle caches and how to create simple field puzzle caches. Cachers will have a wide range of tools available to assist them including a soldering station, 3D printers, workshop and laser cutter. (Laser cutter and workshop tools will be done under supervision)
There will be a wide variety of 3D printed caches for you to play with for inspiration too!
Of course, there will also be time for socialising over a cuppa and story sharing so please come prepared to share your experience of a quality cache that you have created or visited.
This is the first time I've ever hosted an event and it would be great to see cachers from all over support this event.
How Much?
As we are using the So Make It's facilities and tools there is suggested donation of £7 per adult (up to 2 kids free with each adult). This will allow use of tools and materials at the makerspace.
A small range of refreshments will also be available. There are limited WC facilities unfortunately there is no disabled WC.
