Cerkev Sv. Andreja – Postojna
- Na tem območju je pred časom stala šola, še prej, že leta 1470, pa tudi cerkev Svetega Andreja. Natančni podatki o cerkvi niso znani, razen dejstva, da je imela oltarje sv. Florijana, sv. Martina in sv. Andreja.
- Iz zgodovinskih virov je moč sklepati, da so se s strani župnije Slavina tam opravljale sv. maše večkrat na leto, zagotovo pa na dan opasila (sv. Andrej), na dan sv. Valentina, sv. Gregorja, sv. Filipa… Leta 1777 naj bi cerkev na novo prepleskali, leta 1781 pa naj bi bila opuščena.
Sveti Andrej (goduje 30. novembra) je bil prvi od dvanajstih Jezusovih apostolov, doma iz Betsajde ob Genezareškem (Galilejskem) jezeru, po poklicu ribič. Rojen je bil ok. leta 6 pr. Kr., umrl pa je 30. novembra ok. leta 60 po Kr. v Patrasu v Grčiji. Poučeval naj bi po Mali Aziji, v Grčiji in ob Črnem morju. Po nekaterih virih naj bi prišel celo do reke Volge. Na stara leta je bil škof v grškem mestu Patras, kjer je med preganjanjem rimskega cesarja Nerona prišel pred sodišče in bil obsojen na smrt na križu, postavljenem v obliki črke X.

Church of St. Andrew
- On this area, the was a school. Before that, already in 1470, here stood the church of St. Andrew. Precise information about the church is not known, except the fact that it had the altars of St. Florian, st. Martin and St. Andrew.
- From historical sources it can be concluded that holy masses in this church were just several times in a year, but surely on the 30th November (St. Andrew), on the day of St. Valentin, st. Gregor, st. Philip ... In 1777 the church should be newly painted, but in 1781 it was abandoned.
St. Andrew (November 30th) was the first of the twelve apostles, he was from Bethsaida, by the profession he was a fisherman. He was born 6 years BC and died on November 30th in the year 60, in Patras, Greece. He was teaching in Asia, in Greece and along the Black Sea. He was a bishop in the Greek city of Patras, where during the persecution of the Roman emperor Nero he came to court and was sentenced to death. He died on a cross in the shape of the letter X.
