You need a warrior to command your army. There are two ways to find William Wallace. The first is to find where he lives. There is considerable debate about Wallace's home location. Some claim he was from Elderslie and others than he was from Ellerslie. You can find him in one of these locations. The other way to find Wallace is to help him with a mission. Wallace took part in a raid on the English forces in Lanark that sparked the first war of independence. He had help in his "Action at Lanark" and was rescued by someone who became his right hand man until he was killed at the battle of Falkirk. If you visit his helper's castle, there's a big clue in it's name, you will be invited to join the mission and will not need to seek out Wallace's home. Once you have found Wallace the location of the Where's Wallace cache will appear on your map.
