Geocache Description:

The Michigan territorial government sought to gain the support of President Jackson’s administration for the territory’s land claims prior and up to what became the Toledo War. To do so and help Michigan on its path to statehood, the territorial government named ten counties after Andrew Jackson and members of his cabinet:
  • Postmaster General William T. Barry
  • Attorney General John M. Berrien
  • Secretary of the Navy John Branch
  • Vice President John C. Calhoun
  • Secretary of War (2nd) Lewis Cass *
  • Secretary of War (1st) John Eaton
  • Secretary of the Treasury Samuel D. Ingham
  • President Andrew Jackson
  • Secretary of State (2nd) Edward Livingston
  • Secretary of State (1st) Martin Van Buren

* Though Cass was the governor at the time of the initial county naming, he did join the cabinet prior to the cessation of Ohioan aggression.

Your Challenge

Find at least one cache in each of the ten Cabinet Counties. Please post your qualifications by no later than one week after logging the find (project-gc usually takes that long to load data for non-paying members.)

The rating of the actual find is 1/1; it is a typical skirt lifter that one could drive up to without leaving the car. Very wheelchair accessible.
