The Ents of Ypsilanti the end đ˘Â
Â
I was informed today that our delightful little tree has been chopped down! If something is erected in its place that is similar I will try again but for now; this is THE END Â
Any Lord of The Rings fans out there? In the story two wee hobbits are driven into the forest and meet a very nice tree.Â
We have such a tree here in Ypsilanti.Â
Ypsilanti is one of those cities that has a rich artistic community at itâs roots. Â It is also one of those cities where economic depression has kept that a hidden gem.Â
This geocache is placed in hopes of showcasing some of that creative spirit.Â
This tree has no exact origin story but has been âdecoratedâ (generally seasonally) for quite a few years now. I often meander by and see the changes and updates and love it!
Iâve also thought this would be a great place for a âvirtualâ where your find is to take a selfie with the object being showcased. But... virtual caching has been discontinued so Iâm improvising a bit. (More of that ypsi creative spirit for ya! :))
Sooo... Lets bring you all in to town and share the fun :)
To claim your find please sign the log AND post a current picture (selfies and group photos are very welcome) of our arbor friend.Â
If you chose, you could add to our Ent friend as well. Be sure to bring tools for securing items down.Â
It is that simple :) thanks for playing along!Â
And, if youâre worried or wondering, no harm to a living tree is being done in the creation of this geocache. Sadly our Ent friend has suffered from a malady and is no longer a living spirit.Â
Cache on my friends!
