A very nice flat track that can be walked or biked (take a lock as
you will need to leave the track), quite a lot of interesting
scenery along the way.
Your first challenge will be to find out who Harvey R. Ball was in
order to find out the theme of this cache - once you have done
that, you should be able to find plenty of Harvey R. Ball items
round the house.
We started this cache at 43 38.428/172 38.969 and while you could
start from a couple of locations, none of the others have very good
parking. The walk from Allandale Reserve to the cache is about 2km
along the old foreshore road, there are lots of interesting things
to look at along the way (see the attached photos)
You are looking for a 3l camo painted container with 'Geocache'
written on top, I won't say exactly what is in the cache (as this
would give away the theme). I am a little concerned about the
co-ords at the site due to the tree cover (although I did have 5
satellites in view, with 8m EPE) so there is quite a bit of detail
in the cheat.
