SOUTH ALT GREENWAY

South Alt Greenway forms part of a green route that follows the course of the River Alt from Huyton to Stockbridge Village. It's an extensive walk that takes in Huyton Wetlands (source of the Alt on Huyton Lane), South Alt Greenway and onwards into Alt Park and Woolfall Heath Meadow, eventually reaching Mab Lane Community Woods, Little Wood and Knowsley Village beyond.

I've placed this cache to give a little break along the trail if you're doing the Huyton Walk of Fame series.  It is a very short walk from the road so I think you can do it as a drive-by if you park up on Cassino Road.
