This is the final stretch of your nature hike, and the toughest! Remember the before mentioned "log jam" from #4? Well, you will have to cross it. Do be careful here and watch for poison ivy vines on those fallen trees as you make your way down! There are some nice clearings here and a bog with lots of briars and thicket! I scared off a coyote and also ran into a trap on the way out with beaver skulls by it (N 32 57.840 W 096 56.571)!. This is a rough trek so be prepared, hope you don't leave any DNA! Traveling the Nature Hike is the only way to reach this area, I have found, unless you can fly or want to swim. BE CAREFUL and Have fun!!
