Geocache Description:

Church Micro 12507...Honor Oak - St Augustine

The church of St Augustine is a Grade II listed building and is situated within the One Tree Hill nature reserve. It was completed in 1873 by William Oakley and is constructed from Kentish ragstone.

The growth of new houses in the Honor Oak area led to a demand for a church, and St. Augustine's parish was formed. William Oakley, a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects, was asked to design, "a building which on account of the site and status of the neighbourhood, must of necessity possess some architectural pretensions".

At the listed coordinates you are looking for a post behind a bench. (In the summer the post may be hidden amongst nettles so you may need to look carefully). On the post is a white circular disc with a phone number. Look closely at the picture on the disc.
A = number of trees
B = number of buildings.
