EVENT - Join us at the Geocaching Information Table at AHM Youth Services on Pendleton Drive in Hebron between 10AM and 2 PM on Saturday March 16.
The Town of Hebron is having a town-wide Maple Fest celebration. One of the participants is AHM (Andover, Hebron, Marlborough) Youth and Family Services. The AHM Woods Trail is adjacent to their facility on Pendleton Drive, where there is a moderate-sized parking lot. Parking is also available at other areas in or near the center of Hebron. They have asked for a Geocaching "How To" display and demonstration utilizing the five geocaches (onwed by j2brew) on their trails. FYI - there are some potential "mushy" wet spots on the trail network (depending on weather), so wear appropriate footwear.
We are inviting cachers to share experiences with stories about their favorite tricky finds, and perhaps take a rookie or two under their wings for a "how-to" and an introduction to this fun activity.
j2brew ran this last year, with help from a few of us. We had a great turnout of experienced folks and newbies. He asked me to take over, and I agreed. There are also tons of events in town that day, along with maple sugaring demos and wildlife exhibits/discussions on-site at AHM. Last year was cold and windy at our setup in the parking lot, so we are planning to move the table indoors this year.
