Have you ever come across an incredible geological sight while geocaching and wonder, “Why isn’t there an EarthCache here?”
It may come down to one of two things: 1. Your fellow geocachers don’t know about the location. 2. None of your fellow geocachers have taken the time to research and write the EarthCache…or perhaps they are apprehensive about doing so.
Why not you?
Writing an EarthCache can seem a bit daunting though…after all, you’re most likely not a geologist…what do you know about the subject? You’ve probably heard that over half are sent back for revisions and that they take a long time to get published.
While you may not be a geologist, that doesn’t mean you can’t write a quality EarthCache. If you write a quality EarthCache, the reviewer won’t send it back for revisions…they’ll publish it. Quickly.
Now you may be thinking, “Great! I’ve always wanted to publish an EarthCache…but I don’t know where to start? How do I navigate all of the requirements?”
Look no further…this is not your standard “Meet and Greet”, this is the EarthCache presentation you’ve been waiting for! One that will take the fear and mystery out of researching, writing and publishing EarthCaches.
Free to the public, this presentation will be held at the Coweta County Fairgrounds on March 19th, 2019 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm EST.
This presentation will be given by thekingofbattle, a Platinum EarthCache Master. He has visited over 120 EarthCaches across the US and Europe and is currently the owner of several EarthCaches in the SW Georgia area.
