A Troll in a cave?
Now how can this be?
Don't they live under bridges?
Well, the bridge that is close, called the Lagoon Creek, has a problem you see.
In the Summer there is often no water,
The Creek is quite bare,
No water for tea,
Our Troll was in despair.
In Winter it's worse,
Too much water and lots of mud,
Our Trolls old house got wet,
It tended to flood.
So what is a wee Troll to do?!?
You move and build a new home.
One that is sturdy and made out of stone.
One that is further away from the flood.
One that doesn't get covered with mud!
If your coming to Te Anau you will see the offending bridge first.
If your leaving -then it is in reverse.
So look for a rock cave that has a door with a T,
She may be at home,
You will have to look and see.
She does not have a pen,
So don't you forget one,
But it would be OK as our Troll would not mind if you came back to visit again.
