Order to enhance the flood-preventing ability in urban area, the Taipei City Government has taken the lead in promoting the Comprehensive Flood Management Project since 2006. The principles water conservation upstream, flood mitigation midstream, and flood prevention downstream are the three pillars The Jin-Rui Flood Management Park is located at foot of mountains and flood in midstream area by collecting upstream water and reducing the peak discharge of the downstream sewer system. The total water storage capacity of detention pond 27,000 m3 The Jin-Rui Flood Management Park is also integrated the sustainable ecological development and is multi-functional park provides flood prevention, leisure recreation, ecological conservation and environmental education. According to internet voting public opinion poll results, it has named as "Jin- Rui Flood Management Park" in June 2015.
