TUMACÁCORI NATIONAL HISTORICAL PARK OFFICIAL GEOCACHE: WELCOME!
A mission was much more than a church; it was an entire community designed to teach European ways of life to the people living on lands claimed by Spain. Missions included farmlands as well as workshops and homes. Over time, the landscape and culture transformed. Around 1800, residents of Tumacácori began building the church that stands here today.
Visitors today can access Tumacácori National Historical Park between 9am and 5pm. Entrance fees are $10/adult and free for kids and federal pass holders. Check the park's website for additional information about programs, events, and special opportunities. www.nps.gov/tuma
