In keeping with Groundspeak’s Creation Celebrations, this event is intended to inspire geocachers to place fun, creative caches.
The host will provide handouts on the following topics:
o Gadget cache requirements and safety
o Gadgets that are electrically and mechanically simple
§ Talking ammo cans
§ Light-up coordinates
§ Magnetic reed switches
§ Select-a-switch puzzles
o Door design options
o Construction hints
o Power options
o More advanced gadgets
This is meant to be a sharing of ideas for creative caches, not a lecture.
If you have topics that you would like to discuss, please mention them in your will-attend post. Attendees will earn a special “Creation Celebration” souvenir.
The event will be held from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM in The Whipple Auditorium on the second story of the Cedar Rapids Public Library, 450 5th Ave SE.
