Welcome cachers to my Farmyard Adventure. Thanks go to Landsbanki for providing the inspiration for this mini-series of puzzles and hints and techniques for creating this mini adventure. I hope you enjoy it, and it is something different from the usual puzzle.
Explanation:
- The eight puzzles in the geoart series numbers 50-57 form a short adventure story using geocheckers in a fun and different way pioneered by Landsbanki in his Checking for Clues and Dark Caching series.
- In this adventure you will find various items and have various tasks to perform. To complete a task you need to find out how to use an item and where you should use it.
- Each item will come with either a full set of coordinates or a partial set of coordinates (only Northing or Westing). These coordinates are NOT related to where are cache is. This cannot be stressed enough. The coordinates are random numbers that are used simply so that the geocheckers will give you an answer.
- You use an item at a location by entering the northing/westing combination. eg: Munro is standing here his coordinates are W2 30.000. If you want to talk to him, you use the "talk to" partial coordinate which is N57 2.000 combined with the object coordinates Munro's in this case. To give N57 2.000 W2 30.000
- When you enter this into the checker at the location you will get an answer that will lead you to either discover more items or to learn more about how the adventure works.
- You will find a series of mini tasks to complete. When you complete the key task at each location you will unlock the details of the physical cache for that location.
- Ignore the fact that the checkers will say the answer is not quite correct you aren't trying to get the geocheck checker to say it's right only to get told where other objects in the game are. However if the checker says "sorry the answer is incorrect" it means that combination of N & W coordinates didn't have any text for you
- Hint: In the checker there is a button to enter the coords as one line this is probably a lot easier for this type of adventure
- Once you are told you have found a cache. You can use the Geocheck Checker or regular checker on the page to check the coordinates of the final if you wish
- Each cache page represents a location in and around the Farmyard where Munro lives. There are 8 locations in total in Geoart pages 50-57.
- This first location is:
The Cow Pasture
Here you find Munro (W2 30.000) standing in the field just chewing the cud enjoying the sunshine (or rain, if you arrived 5 minutes late). Why don't you talk to (N57 2.000) him to see what he has to say.
Use the geocheck.org geochecker to enter the actions and objects (in the form of coordinates) to progress in the adventure. So as previously mentioned "talk to" is N57 2.000 and "Munro" is W2 30.000 so quite simply "talk to Munro" is N57 2.000 W2 30.000. Enter that "coordinate" into the Geocheck.org checker for this page to proceed.

Please see the first cache in the series for parking waypoints.
