Who: All geocachers, young and old, new and experienced, are welcome to attend
What: Let's put our heads together in a workshop-style environment to discuss mystery caches, puzzle caches, anything and everything to do with the fearsome blue question mark. Emphasis will be on what makes a mystery cache good / high quality. I will have a short presentation ready, if needed, outlining things I've learned about mystery caches and how to solve them ( I am not an expert!!! ). Alternatively, come with your nastiest puzzle cache that keeps you up at night and see if some of the other attendees can give a fresh look at it.
Where: Mid-Columbia Library Kennewick Branch, conference room, 1620 S Union St, Kennewick
When: Wednesday, March 27th, 7 PM
Why: Several reasons. First, this is a Creation Celebration event and attendees will be rewarded with a unique digital souvenir. Second, blue question marks can be intimidating to cachers both experienced and new. I'm definitely fascinated by them and hoping to put our heads together to see what elevates mystery caches to the next level, really give them that magical quality that people like. Third, it's just an excuse to hang out with other geocachers, swap stories, and have a treat (I will provide a treat).
Go ahead and ask questions or make suggestions on this cache page about what you would like done (or not done) during this event and maybe we can mold it into something tailor-made to those who will attend. But just in case, I do have some material that I can present and discuss with you all, including examples of actual mystery caches that I've been able to solve which I have enjoyed. Several of the esteemed "It Begins At x Gate" puzzles in NY will be shown as examples.
