This is rather a special, CHIRP CACHE, which requires a Garmin GPS with CHIRP Searching feature to be able to find the cache, at the given co-ordinates please do not attempt to locate or disturb the CHIRP.
Pendle Hill, stands proud above the Lancashire Landscape, rolling slopes to the South and West, with a steep North face. Many approach routes to the summit converge at this point, with newly re-layed pathways from Barley along the old Miners Track. The longer routes from Downham and Sabden via the Scout cairn. Whichever route you are taking please remember this is a very upland location, on a warm sunny day a very beatiful place to be, the weather can change very quickly, or be a very hostile place to be. Low Clouds, can make visibility very limited, and navigation difficult. Please be careful, in the event of an emergency ring 999 and ask for Mountain Rescue.
As part of the works carried out the old stile over the wall has been rteplaced with a new gate, and a shelter built, if you take a seat looking towards the Summit, the CHIRP will send the details to your GPS, taking you to the location of the cache box, a small clip lock box, with a few mountain goodies. Please be aware there is no need to disturb any of the stone walls in the area to locate this cache.
If you have any problems, send me a message and I will try to get back to you straight away.
