chai_pa: We checked the area for a safe place to re-locate this cache and found none. We are afraid that it will be plundered again no matter where we put it. Sadly, we have decided to archive this cache. We would still encourage people to visit the crypt and monument of this great athlete. Thanks to all who have visited this cache.

Geocache Description:

Located in Jim Thorpe near the crypt of Jim Thorpe.

The cache is a clear Rubbermaid container with white lid. Original contents are Sports related: Fishing lure, golf Tee's, divot tool, signal whistle, PSU football keychain, skateboard and snowboard keychains,and golden dollar. Cache is not far from the crypt on the North side of town.

Jim Thorpe is a nice town worth a visit while you are here.
