GeoTour Stop #29: Ta-Ha-Zouka Park
Ta-Ha-Zouka Park, which is next to the Elkhorn River on Highway 81 south of Norfolk, was established in 1936 and dedicated in 1937. The name Ta-Ha-Zouka is an American Indian word meaning ‘Horn of the Elk.’ An Indian tradition says the Elkhorn River’s most common name was Ta-Ha-Zouka. The park is home to the trail head of Nebraska's Cowboy Trail.
