Geocache Description:

WAIT - V-MAX IS GONE!! HE WAS PLUNDERED SOMETIME BEFORE AUGUST 31ST, AND WILL NOT RETURN!! HOWEVER, ALL IS NOT LOST - SEARCH THE GEOCACHE PAGES FOR SON-OF-V-MAX!!

Well, V-Max is going to try it again! The first time he was plundered, the second time it was decided that he was hanging out in a bad neighborhood, so he's going to give this place a try and see how it works out. It's certainly not the nicest place on the island, but it can be a quick find if you come in the SHORT way, and a lovely walk if you come in the LONG way. The cache is a mile or two from where it used to be.
If you want to take the SHORT way, park here: N21 23.422 W157 44.878 The cache will be a 90 second walk away (if you didn't have to hunt for it).
If you want to take the LONG way (recommended), park here: N21 24.323 W157 45.337 Wear a hat, bring a little water, and maybe even something to feed the ducks. Enjoy a leisurely stroll on a paved sidewalk as you take in the view of waterfowl, the Koolau's, and the marsh. You'll have to retrace your steps to get back to your car, but a walk as lovely as this deserves an encore. I'd estimate it's about 2 miles round-trip, and absolutely flat.
OK, pay attention now. I always hate coordinates that are back in the brush (where a gps doesn't work), so my coordinates are out in the open. But the cache is not. Once you're standing at the coordinates, the cache is about 200 degrees and 30 feet. You're going to have to look around a while to find it, so ask yourself - where would *I* put it?! You're looking for a standard issue ammo can.
One final note - Close to the coordinates is a trail that meanders through the hou and bamboo. I walked down the trail a ways and it seems to end at a squatters camp, so I'd recommend you not take the trail and not upset "the neighbors".
