The Bembridge village sign shows the Bembridge Windmill. This was built in 1700 of local stone. It has much of its original equipment inside, it is National Trust and is open to visitors. The lifeboat is stationed at Bembridge in a new lifeboat station, and also in the background is the Yarborough monument on Culver Cliff. Yachts and lobster pots for the harbour experiences, but no indication of the fascinating house boats near this sign, nor of Bembridge Airport.
If anybody would like to expand this series please do. I would just ask that you let Smokeypugs know first so they can keep track of the Village Sign numbers and names to avoid duplication.
