GeoTour Stop #02: Norfolk Carnegie Library
The Library was opened by the Norfolk Women's Club on July 7, 1906 and was only opened on Saturdays. They began planning for a library and in 1908, transferred their ownership to the City of Norfolk. The city applied for a grant from the Andrew Carnegie Foundation and construction of the Carnegie Library was completed in 1910. The building housed the library until 1977 and is now the home of an architectural firm.
The posted coordinates will bring you to a manhole cover in front of the library. On the cover, there is a city and state listed. The city is A and the state is B.
