An Event for all those who enjoy finding & placing quality caches. Come along and show off your favourite piece of caching camo or cache construction. We will have some of our creations on show, but won’t necessarily reveal which particular caches the camos belong to. Share your cache construction ideas & techniques with fellow cachers, or pick up some ideas for a future cache of your own, or just come along to see what cache camos might be lurking out there in the wild.
When: Saturday 6th April 2019. 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
Where: Allambie Heights Oval, Southern end near the Scout Hall.
Parking: 25 car parking spaces are available alongside the Event, or there is an alternative parking area at the Northern (Allambie Road) end of the Oval. Availability will be dependent on the demands of the co-sited sporting activities.
Public Transport: State Transit Bus 142 and Forest Coach Bus 280 run along Allambie Road. Alight at Allambie Heights Shops, then walk up and across the Oval to the Event.
Nearby Facilities: Allambie Heights Shops are about 200 metres away, with numerous food outlets & Cafes, an IGA Supermarket, Newsagent with Post Office, Chemist, Westpac ATM and a BP Service Station.
Nearby Caching Opportunities: The nearby Manly Dam Reserve is home to many high quality geocaches, some of which utilise camos that will be on show at this Event, making a wander along some of the reserve's bushwalking tracks a rewarding experience. Two of the reserve's access tracks are located very close to the Event site
This Event is part of a special worldwide Creation Celebration Event series highlighting cache quality and high quality caches. Geocachers logging their “Attended” on this Event will receive the official Creation Celebration souvenir. So log your “Will Attend" and help add some more quality hides to our geo game board.
