Saxon After-CITO Picnic
This is the companion event to the Saxon Woods CITO https://coord.info/GC849PF taking place on the same day in this park. Since the Parks Department lets us use the Picnic Pavillion, it would be a shame not to have a snack together after we finish with the CITO.
It is perfectly okay to just attend the picnic, if participating in the CITO isn't your thing, or doesn't work for you time-wise.
The pavillion has plenty of fire places and grills, and team leenie222 volunteered again to stoke the fire and burn some greasy dogs and mystery meat patties that we will gladly put into fluffy bread to provide for the hardy CITO crew (and everybody else who shows up). If you plan to contribute additional edibles or logistics to a larger communal meal, please mention such in the "Will Attend" log, so that we don't end up with seven trays of chocolate chip cookies or five bowls of maccaroni salad. You know, it happened before :)
The event starts at noon. There is no telling when exactly the CITO crew will come back in from their work, but at least one of us (and a log book, a sizzling charcoal fire, and greasy meat look-alikes with burnt buns) will be at GZ at least from noon to 1pm.
While Saxon Woods is very well plastered with caches, tradition demands :) that there will be a new hide or two. We will hold a raffle among the CITO participants, to give away some goodies, and a FTF head start on the new caches. In other words, two hours of pulling plastic bottles, bald tires and dead skunks from the mud for Saxon CITO #6 can buy you a free lunch, potentially a raffle win, and even a FTF on a brand new cache. What is there not to like? :D.
While everyone is welcome to this event and the munching, only CITO participants qualify for the raffle wins.
