What's Cooking? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

RobinMohawk: Very late logging this but Helene got this one last September and made it disappear without a trace. Even the picnic shelter was gone.

Thanks to all who came.

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

A large open area with covered tables and charcoal grills, as well as a playground and tennis courts. Enjoy the lovely scenery. You can see the cliff faces of Rumbling Bald, and, if you know where to look, you should be able to see Chimney Rock as well. The Flowering Bridge as well as Morse Park are nearby.

There may be a lot of muggles here during the summer tourist season so use extreme stealth. If anyone is using this structure, do NOT attempt a find.

This cache should blend in well with its surroundings. Since there was some effort to conceal the container to make it a little more challenging, please do not post any hints or pictures of the container or logsheet. BYOP

During warmer weather, you may be greeted by LOTS of bees. Most of them are male carpenter bees, they look like bumblebees but are quite harmless and they cannot sting. The females are more interested in finding or creating a pencil-sized hole in the wood. Bumblebees and honeybees are more interested in finding flowers so they are unlikely to even be here to greet you. Just DO NOT BE AGGRESSIVE WITH ANY BEE, don't swat at them, don't try to hit them.

WARNING: DO NOT MOVE/REPLACE THE CONTAINER OR MOVE THE LOGSHEET to another cache. Doing so will result in your log being deleted. If maintenance is needed, please post a Needs Maintenance log. I live nearby and can perform maintenance quickly.
