Parking and trailhead at the posted coordinates, Cache is not at the posted coordinates. This is a challenge cache, read on for details.
To get the coordinates for the cache:
- Recite aloud the Capital Region counties in geographic order from West to East and North to South,
- Close your eyes and spell the County whose name begins with "R" correctly on the first try,
- Scroll down to the waypoints section of this page and the waypoint for the final location will be magically revealed.
- If you jumped directly to step 3, in your haste to obtain the final coordinates, go back and give steps 1 & 2 a try. ;)
The challenge requirement is to find a cache, or attend an event, in each of the Capital Region Counties:
- Albany
- Columbia
- Greene
- Rensselaer
- Saratoga
- Schenectady
- Warren
- Washington
You may sign the log at any time. If you do not meet the challenge at the time of the find, please log a "Write Note" and update your log to a find when you meet the requirements.
Per current challenge cache guidelines, you do not need to post proof in your online log since the CO can use the Project-GC checker to verify your qualifying caches.
Please note, this Capital Region "home" does NOT have storage space for trackables, signature items, or swag. Difficulty accounts for the challenge. Terrain takes into account the trail conditions.
