This geocache series, which consists of 10 traditional caches and 10 temporary caches, will lead geocachers to historical and recreational sights in and around Sutherlin. Limited edition (100 available) Sutherlin City of Flags Geocoins will be awarded to those who complete the geocache series!
The kick-off event will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the back patio of Motel 6 and include coffee and donuts, a meet and greet and a group photo. Umpqua Valley Geocaching Association will be hosting a travel bug table for discovery and possible trades.
Help will be available to download the waypoints.
Passports will be distributed beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Bring completed passports to the Umpqua Valley Room inside the Sutherlin Motel 6 to receive your coin. After the kick-off event, passports can be picked up and returned to Motel 6 front desk. The series will continue until all 100 coins are awarded.
