Pietrabuona è la prima castella all'ingresso della Valleriana/Svizzera Pesciatina. Situata su un poggio in posizione strategica, prende il nome dalle cave di pietra serena che per secoli hanno fornito la materia prima per la costruzione dei palazzi pesciatini e fiorentini.
L'antichissima chiesa è dedicata a S. Matteo e conserva al suo interno due statue lignee policrome di S. Michele e S. Colombano del XV secolo.
Per arrivare alla cache si passa dalla porta castellana settentrionale ancora integra.
Per favore, non pubblicare foto della cache.
Per loggare estrarre SOLTANTO il logbook e non tutta l'installazione, e una volta loggato risistemare il logbook nella stessa posizione, grazie!

Strategically located on a hill, Pietrabuona is the first castella (fortified village) and it is considered the gateway of Valleriana/Svizzera Pesciatina. It takes its name from pietra serena quarries, a particular stone that was used for centuries to build the palaces of Florence and Pescia.
The ancient church is dedicated to St. Matthew. Inside there are two polychrome wooden statues of St. Michael and St. Columban (15th century).
To reach the cache you will pass through the still intact Northern castle gate.
Please, DO NOT publish any picture of the cache.
To log the cache DO NOT PULL OUT the whole installation, but just the logbbook. Once signed the logbook, please put it in the same position again, thank you.
