This cache is placed in an old abandoned building which has a very interesting story. As it is for many old buildings, there is a legend that goes with it. The story goes that in this house lived a Sicilian knight by the name of Ippolito, who fell in love with a beautiful Maltese girl from Ħal Kirkop, more specifically in an area known as Tal-Ġellieda. The latter’s father however disapproved of his daughter marrying off to this knight and subsequently shot and killed the knight Ippolito, and proceeded to bury him in the same valley. Back in 2012 a geocacher gremxula place a geocache here however this cache has been lost and disabled. Recently the cache was re-found and there is a hint in the new container that leads you to the old cache. please do not log the old cache but log the new one. thanks and enjoy.
