Dogs, this is a great place to take your human companion. The trails are in good shape. There is approximately a 160' elevation change.
This cache is just off an alternate route down from Palomar Mountain (make sure and get an Adventure Pass at the General Store). If your human companion is up for it, do the loop for an especially nice walk. The longer route is a more gradual descent (ascent)and has nice views to the east and Lake Henshaw. Make sure to have water available for everyone (2 and 4 legged) doing the hike especially in the warmer months.
To be on the safe side, leashes are a probably a good idea (I hate those things).
