Location

Founded in 1853 by Pope and Talbot, Port Gamble in Kitsap County retains the atmosphere of a 19th century company town. Port Gamble was named in 1841 by surveyor Charles Wilkes in honor of Lt. Robert Gamble, who was wounded in the war of 1812 between the US Frigate President and the British Belvidere.

Port Gamble was the oldest continuously operatnig sawmill in North America until it was closed in 1995.

This hunt brings you to the Buena Vista cemetery and beyond. The cemetery was founded in 1856. The first person buried there was James Foster. He was the son of the Puget Mill Company's four founders. This cemetery has many people from all around the world buried in it. People from Austria, Finland, Canada, England, Israel, Germany, Scotland, and Sweden are buried here.
