CITO - How to Host Your Own Cache In Trash Out Event!

All good cachers go geocaching, but what do GREAT cachers do?

Cachers Improve The Outdoors!

Learn how to plan & execute a CITO Event of your own, as classroom instruction will be followed up with a participatory field training session demonstrating various ways to make a CITO happen well. Sean Gaither will show off what support is available from GeocacheAlaska! Inc. to help your CITO be a resounding success.  Come dressed to participate in the outdoor activity - wearing waterproof shoes and warm clothing is recommended, as are sturdy gloves. We'll supply disposable gloves, but they're not very warm...

Remember, the first CITO season of 2019 runs from Friday March 1st through Friday May 31st - and you'll earn a souvenir for your participation in any CITO event attended in this time span! Better yet, host a CITO Event of your own and get credit for hosting a CITO as well as earning the souvenir for attending a CITO Event!

Cache In Trash Out® (CITO) is an environmental initiative supported by the geocaching community. Since 2002, CITO has helped preserve the natural beauty of cache-friendly spaces. In that time, more than 363,000 people have volunteered at over 18,000 events.
