Wormhole

It was a nice warm spring day in Roseville and Marie Rose was tending to her flower garden. Marie was a green thumb and had won numerous awards for the flowers that she grew in her garden. She was the envy of all the residents in Roseville.

This particular day Marie was tending to her garden when she started to feel a slight chill in the air. She glanced down and noticed that the hairs on her arms were starting to stand up and goose bumps were forming. Just then she felt an icy breath on the back of her neck. She looked up at her prize rose bush and noticed ice forming on rose blooms. She slowly turned around and was astonished to see The Winter Dragon standing behind her. He was ice blue in color and creaked like breaking ice as he moved.

Marie asked him “What do you want with me?” The Dragon spoke with his frosty voice: “I don’t like warm summer days so I’m going to put an end to it before it starts!”. “Why would you want to do that?” Marie asked. The Dragon responded “I don’t like the smell of flowers and all the insects that go along with them!”. “But my flowers bring joy to so many people, is there anything I can do to change your mind?” she pleaded. The Dragon thought about it for a moment and said “If you can decipher my code I will fly to the Antarctic and let summer come back to your town”.  He added “If you don’t solve the code, winter will last forever and you will never grow flowers here again”. Marie was horrified at the thought of never growing flowers in her beautiful little town ever again and said “I accept your challenge!” The Dragon exhaled his icy breath and formed two frozen symbols on either side of Marie’s prize rose that just hung in the air. With a smirk on his face he said “You have 24 hours to solve the puzzle, after that time the symbols will melt and winter will last forever”.

Marie accepted the challenge.

She will now ask the geocaching community for help deciphering these symbols.

Are you up to the challenge?

If not, Winter is Coming and it will last forever!

Each symbol represents a three-digit number. Replace the last three digits on the North and West with the number value of each symbol to find the cache and stop endless winter.

All the clues you need to solve this puzzle are in the story above.

Good Luck
