The Mountain Biker’s Cache

The majority of my geocaching has been done on my mountain bike so I have created a mountain bike specific cache to celebrate this.

This cache can be found in a reserve that is referred to by the mountain bike community as ’80 Acres’ and has mountain bike trails all through it, mostly XC with a couple of DH. If you aren’t a mountain biker though, don’t worry this is also a very nice place to bring your dog, family or just yourself for a beautiful walk.

The cache can be found near the bottom of one of my favourite trails (not far from the golf course fence) and you won’t need to bush bash through prickles if you keep to the trails.

Inside the cache you will find many items to swap useful for a mountain biker – tyre lever, allen key, patches, cable ties, spoke nipples, valve caps etc. There are also some non mountain bike related swaps for the kids.

You are looking for a medium sized bike specific container and inside it you will find a green imitation CO2 cylinder containing log and pencil.
