Welcome to Oberhöchstadt, a small town in the Taunus area, part of the larger Kronberg town. The cache is situated just before going into the Taunus forest area (just continue along the Altkönigstrasse). Oberhöchstadt is a relatively quiet town with approximately 6000 inhabitants and lies about 200 mtrs above the Main. The first time it is mentioned in official documentation was 782 (as Eichenstadt). It became part of the 'Herzogtum Nassau' in the early 19th century (this is also shown on the Dallesbrunnen in the small towncentre, approximately 5 mins walk downhill). The cache is also close to the biggest elderly home in the area of Rhein Mein, the Altkönigstift, named after the hill close by. The Altkönig is 798,2 meters high and there is a nice walk to the top (and surroundings). Take a rest before you move on to the Altkönig, but beware of (elderly) mugglers that regularly visit this place. 2811 Placed a new petting on a different place. Hopefully this one will last longer.
