Diesdorf
Gegründet wurde Diesdorf vermutlich bereits zwischen 400 und 800 n.Chr. Durch den fruchtbaren Bördeboden bestand die Bevölkerung weitestgehend aus Landwirten.
Trotz mehrerer Schicksalsschläge (Pest, starke Zerstörung im Dreißigjährigen Krieg, Großbrand 1833) erholte sich das Dorf immer wieder schnell. Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts entwickelte sich Diesdorf dann mit der einsetzenden Industrialisierung zu einer Wohnsiedlung.
Als sich das Gebiet der Stadt Magdeburg bis an die Grenze zu Diesdorf ausgebreitet hatte, wurde das Dorf im Jahr 1926 eingemeindet. Im selben Jahr fuhr erstmals eine Straßenbahn bis nach Diesdorf.
Die Einwohnerzahl stieg zwischen 1770 und 1926 von 400 auf ca. 3000 Einwohner an.

Diesdorf
Diesdorf probably was founded between 400 and 800 AD. The population mostly be cultivators, because of the fertile ground in this area.
Despite several strokes (pestilence, severe destruction during Thirty Years' War, conflagration 1833) the village made a quick recovery every time. Diesdorf evolved to a housing estate by constituting industrialisation at the end of the 19th century.
1926, the village was incorporated, at the time when the area of Magdeburg spread to Diesdorf's border. In the same year, the first tram drove to Diesdorf.
The population raised from 400 to about 3000 people between 1770 and 1926.
